Demolition Robot RDC 22.22 manufactured by Euro Implementos

Euro Implementos embarked on the project to design and manufacture a controlled demolition robot (RDC), nearly 4 years ago. The experience in special designs and projects in remote control in pedestal arms and the sustained leadership in the national market of attachments for light and medium machinery, encouraged us to manufacture our first autonomous machine.

RDC demolition robot is an attachment carrier machine designed completely nationally. It is not a mini-excavator, although it can also work with a  bucket. Its main characteristics are that it has the highest hydraulic power/weight ratio, its size is ultra-compact, its motorization is electric and its control is remote. These characteristics allow the RDC to perform tasks where other machines cannot because of excess weight, size, emissions, lack of power or because of the risk exposure of their operators.

Euro Implementos has designed a platform built with components of the highest level, which gives rise to 4 different models depending on its engine (18/22 Kw), and its support system (dozer/stabilizers). Moreover, there are multiple options not available in other products of the market that are adapted to the requirements of their owners: frequency converter that allows to work at 60 Hz in networks of 50 Hz, hydraulically expandable trolley, modular system that allows installation dozer/stabilizers, extended range boom, telescopic boom, remote vision cameras, cable winder, lithium ion battery pack, …

The tasks of the DRC are getting bigger and bigger. The most common is controlled demolition, in confined spaces, where gases cannot be emitted, where weight and size are decisive, where high productivity is required or where operator safety does not allow working with traditional systems. In addition, industrial applications for the removal of refractories from cement kilns or foundries are often carried out by the RDC. In mining and tunnels, in operations of sanitation, wall profiling, drilling, construction of auxiliary galleries, milling of screen walls, … Nuclear power plants are also good users of the RDC.

RDC 22.20 demolition robot has been awarded as the best R&D project by the Chamber of Commerce of Terrassa in 2014. It has also been awarded in the VII Power of Machinery Awards 2013 in the Demolition Equipment category and in the 7th edition of the NAN 2013 Architecture and Construction Awards for Best Product in the Machinery, Tools, Equipment, Lifting and Transport category.
